Melanie Botembe

Born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario to Jamaican parents, Melanie spent her high school years focusing on academics, sports and extracurricular activities; while learning from her entrepreneurial father and service-oriented mother who emphasized education, and service, and who led by example. Her credentials include a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University, a MBA from Howard University, a certificate in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University, and a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification. Melanie is a business advisor with 20 years of North American experience leading organizations on their journey towards organizational and inclusion excellence.  

Melanie has worked across a dozen industries and functions in the public sector (provincial, federal and crown corporations) and the private sector for large multinationals and Fortune 500 companies, in both unionized and non-unionized environments. She is a proven leader in executing improvement initiatives focused on people, process and technology and delivering bottom line results. Passionate about people and leadership development, she has designed, delivered, trained and coached thousands of employees in the public sector, private sector, unionized and non-unionized staff at all levels in the organization.
