Shiyen holds a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from McMaster University.
Starting as a frontline clinician in Toronto’s healthcare industry, she quickly advanced to leadership positions before transitioning to full-time executive coaching.
Her contributions have earned her recognition as one of the Top 200 Biggest Voices in Leadership in 2023 by leadersHum, and she received the prestigious Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Award in 2022. Continually seeking knowledge, Shiyen serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Toronto and holds the position of President-elect on the Board of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists.
Living the immigrant dream in Canada, born to a middle-class family in Mumbai, India, Shiyen effortlessly integrates all elements of life successfully as a mother of three.
