Course Overview
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB™) certification focuses on testing learners on their comprehensive understanding of the various Six Sigma tools and techniques in conjunction with Lean. The objective of the online course (complimentary with the certification exam) is to develop a comprehensive knowledge base that helps learners to function effectively as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt in various Six Sigma projects. The tools and techniques cover both quantitative and non-quantitative analysis along with other necessary knowledge to improve the production process, minimize inefficiencies and increase ROI with a greater focus on the practical implementation of these tools and techniques in the organization. Learners are expected to take and pass an exam that comprises of 125 questions with a completion time-box of 180 minutes.
Course Strategy
This course looks to equip Learners with an in-depth, standardized approach to problem solving for the purpose of identifying and eliminating non-value adding activities with a view to optimizing an organization’s business process end-to-end.
Learning Outcomes
- Learners will be equipped with the necessary skills to eliminate waiting time (duration of resources lying idle) in workstations. Once this goal is achieved, parts will move with speed directly from one work station to another, thereby decreasing work-in-process (WiP) and finished goods inventories by 50% to 80%.
- Learners will be trained on how to provide customers with make-to-order products thereby delivering value for money.
- Learners will be equipped with the ability to minimize cost and improve quality.
